2021 6th International Conference on Robotics and Automation Engineering(ICRAE 2021) has been held successfully in Aloft Guangzhou University Park, Guangzhou, China on November 19-22, 2021 in hybrid virtual style. ICRAE 2021 conference is sponsored by Guangdong University of Technology, China, hosted by School of Automation, Guangdong University of Technology, China, supported by Robotics Society of Singapore, etc. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in several China's cities and travel restrictions, ICRAE 2021 was held in hybrid virtual style. There were around 100 participants from over 10 countries, including USA, Israel, China, Italy, the Philippines, Malaysia, Canada, etc. to attend the 2021 conference.
Moreover, ICRAE 2021 conference invited lots of prestigious experts in the areas of robotics and automation engineering to attend the conference, including: Prof. Derong Liu, Guangdong University of Technology, China(IEEE Fellow), Prof. Qinglai Wei, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, Assoc. Prof. Xie Ming, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, Prof. Everett X. Wang, Guangdong University of Technology, China, Prof. Stefano Mariani, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, etc. And ICRAE 2021 also invited these experts including Prof. Fuchun Sun, IEEE&CAAI Fellow, Tsinghua University, China, Prof. Zhongsheng Hou, IEEE Fellow, Qingdao University, China, Prof. Dan Halperin, ACM&IEEE Fellow, Tel Aviv University, Israel, Prof. Peter Stone, IEEE&ACM Fellow, The University of Texas at Austin, USA, Prof. Zhi-Hui Zhan, South China University of Technology, China to share their latest researches in machine learning for robot locomotion, behavior intelligence, geometry at the service of robotics, etc.
Besides the keynote speeches, there were 10 technical sessions for authors' live and online presentations in the areas of Robot and Machine Vision, Advanced Electronic Technology and Intelligent System, Control System and Automation, Computer Vision and Image Processing, Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Robots, Unmanned System and Control Technology, Mechanical Design and Control Automation, etc. After evaluations from session chairs, 10 best presenters were selected among all presenters. In order to encourage student authors, ICRAE 2021 added the Best Student Paper Award this year. Referring to the reviewing comments from TPC member and some suggestions from conference committees, we finally selected 1 Best Student Paper Award. Congratulations to these winners.
