Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and pervasive travel restrictions, 2020 5th International Conference on Robotics and Automation Engineering has been held virtually for 1st time on November 20-22, 2020 successfully. Although participants cannot attend the physical conference, but we think that the virtual conference was also a rewarding experience for them.
Conference Chair: Prof. Everett X. Wang, Guangdong University of Technology, China served as the conference host. And other conference chair: Assoc. Prof. Ming Xie, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, the president of Robotics Society of Singapore delivered the opening remarks at the beginning of ICRAE 2020. Afterwards, Prof. Derong Liu, IEEE Fellow, Guangdong University of Technology, China, Prof. Robert Mahony, IEEE Fellow, Australian National University, Australia, Prof. Chun-Yi Su, Concordia University, Canada, and Prof. Anhui Liang, Shandong University of Science and Technology, China delivered the keynote and plenary speeches, respectively, to share the latest progress and researches on Reinforcement Learning for Optimal Control of Complex Nonlinear Systems, An Equivariant Perspective on Visual Spatial Awareness, etc.
In the afternoon of November 21 and the whole day of November 22, participants presentations have been divided into 6 sessions, related to Computer Vision and Machine Vision, Advanced Electronics and Information Technology, Mechanical Design and Industrial Control, Robots and Intelligent Systems, Robot Design and Development, Intelligent System and Control Technology. After sessions ended, the session chairs evaluated the presentation and chose the best presentation awards. Congratulations to these winners! Finally, at the end of the conference, Dr. Ming Xie delivered the closing remarks to end the conference.
